During a clinic conducted by my friend and mentor Buck Brannaman, I was asked a question-   Do you think that all Horsemanship is the same, just presented differently?

My answer was – No!

There is an aspect that is very important to the horse which is consistently overlooked
.

This aspect is so important to the horse that it should be foremost in our thoughts.

Well, what is it?

There should be an awareness of what a horse prepares to do physically, mentally and emotionally.

To me, this is a basic understanding that I take to everything that I do with a horse.

Physically it is what happens laterally with a horse, thus the name -

"LATERAL THINKING HORSEMANSHIP"

At my clinics this is what I offer to the students so that they can best gain an understanding of what they need to present to their horse no matter what discipline
